Chemical Peels

Facial Peels for Skin Restoration and Rejuvenation

Do you struggle with dull, uneven skin? Do you want to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and sun damage? At Golden State Dermatology, our experienced providers offer a wide variety of chemical peels to rejuvenate your skin for a brighter, smoother, youthful look.

What Are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are treatments where your dermatologist applies a chemical solution to your skin, causing dead skin cells to peel away and promote skin cell growth and renewal. They decrease signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, prevent or reduce acne, smooth rough skin, and lessen sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and scarring.

The treatments typically take only twenty minutes, don’t require anesthesia, have a quick recovery time, and are virtually painless. One of our expert providers customizes each treatment to your skin’s needs and goals.

We offer a variety of chemical peels for different skin types and concerns, including:

Glycolic Acid Peels

Glycolic acid peels can help patients with melasma, enlarged pores, fine lines, mild sun damage, superficial hyperpigmentation, and acne achieve smoother, rejuvenated skin.

TCA Peels

We offer mild TCA Peels to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, even out skin tone, and minimize skin blemishes for a youthful, radiant look.

Vitalize Peels

The Vitalize Peel is a new formula that combines alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, resorcinol, and retinoic acid to treat acne scars, sun damage, and pigmentation.

VI Peels

VI Peels are medical-grade chemical peels that can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, acne, scarring, and irregular pigmentation. They are safe and effective for all skin tones, painless, and non-invasive.

VI Peels contain a proprietary blend of acids formulated for every skin tone, including retinoic acid, trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, and ascorbic acid. They also contain Phenol, which numbs the skin to ensure the process is comfortable.

There are six types of VI Peels offered at Golden State Dermatology, including:

VI Peel

The original VI Peel is a great option for first-time patients or patients seeking a seasonal refresher. It exfoliates the skin, giving you a renewed radiance in just seven days.

Benefits include tighter-looking skin, smoother texture, and a luminous glow. It can help with skin concerns such as sensitivity, early signs of aging, and uneven texture.

VI Advanced

The VI Advanced peel is formulated for patients aged 40+ to reverse signs of aging like fine lines, loss of elasticity, wrinkles, and sun damage. It is a deeply penetrating treatment that firms the skin by enhancing collagen stimulation.

VI Precision Plus

The VI Precision Plus peel is perfect for patients with hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and melasma. It suppresses melanin production while boosting skin cell regeneration, resulting in a smoother, brighter complexion in just seven days.

VI Purify

The VI Purify peel reduces acne breakouts, increases skin cell regeneration, and kills acne-causing bacteria. It is safe for ages 13 and up and made for oily, congested skin.

It improves the appearance and texture of your skin by removing skin cells that clog pores and clears oil and debris blocking the pores.

VI Purify Precision Plus

If you are dealing with pigmentation issues and acne, you can combine treatments with the VI Purify Precision Plus peel. It can help clear and prevent breakouts and minimize hyperpigmentation and scarring by reducing melanin production.

This treatment is ideal for patients with adult acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and oily skin.

VI Peel Body

The VI Peel Body is formulated with potent active ingredients that go beyond the capabilities of traditional topicals. It can increase collagen production to promote skin regeneration, revealing smoother, rejuvenated skin.

The VI Peel Body can alleviate skin concerns such as body acne, stretch marks, sagging skin, scarring, pigmentation, and fine lines. Every VI Peel comes with a free custom patient aftercare kit, including a cleanser, post-peel protectant, post-peel towelettes, sunscreen, and an instruction booklet to use for a week after your peel.

For preventative treatment, it is recommended you undergo a VI Peel four times per year. To get the best results out of corrective treatments, they should be performed in a series of two to four treatments or more for patients with dermal remodeling.

They should be spaced around four to six weeks apart to allow your skin time to rebuild and recover.

What to Expect with Your Chemical Peel

Your provider at Golden State Dermatology will conduct a thorough consultation with you before treatment to discuss your medical history, skin concerns, and skin goals to help determine the best chemical peel for you. Getting your chemical peel under medical supervision at your dermatologist’s office is essential.

Having it done by someone inexperienced or without physician oversight can be unsafe and potentially burn or damage your skin. When you book your chemical peel with the experienced providers at Golden State Dermatology, you can ensure you receive the best-in-class treatment and optimal results.

These chemical peels will yield visible results after only one treatment and substantial results after multiple treatments. To achieve maximum results, peels can be incorporated with other cosmetic treatments, such as Intense Pulsed Light or Microdermabrasion.
