Who is GSD, and how are we different?
We are a physician led and owned dermatology group rapidly expanding across California and beyond. After decades of independent practice, GSD was founded in December 2016 by Dr. Ed Becker, Dr. Jeff Bortz, Dr. Rob Greenberg and Dr. Jay Zimmerman. It was our founders’ goal to create a dermatology group that would preserve a relatively independent model of care while offering the benefits of a broad network of peers and an experienced management team. We have since grown to 23 locations with services covering:

What Is the Process?
Phase 1: Introductions & Letter of Intent
- Introductory call
- Non-disclosure agreement
- Diligence
- We know you are busy, so we keep our requests limited
- Opportunity for you to speak with others that have joined GSD
- Proposal and Non-Binding Letter of Intent
Phase 2: Confirmatory Diligence & Legal Documentation
- Confirmatory due diligence
- GSD confirms Phase 1 diligence by reviewing additional financial and operational information
- Similar to Phase 1, we are efficient in our requests and keep the requests limited
- Negotiate legal documents
- Execute legal documents
Phase 3: Integration & Closing
- Transition plan
- Schedule closing date and training
- Coordinate communication plan to appropriately inform staff members about the transition
- GSD sends a team to prepare for the transition and integration
- Closing
- Close transaction and wire payment
- GSD team onsite at closing
- Post-closing integration
- GSD integration team remains onsite for the transition
- GSD assumes the administrative function allowing you to focus on your medical practice while remaining the physician-lead in the office
- Regular communication with GSD’s senior leadership team to ensure a smooth transition
- Provide additional resources to pursue growth opportunities
