Our Services Include
Acne Treatment and Diagnosis
Do you have frustrating acne? Get the care you need by visiting our Brentwood location. We’ll begin by diagnosing with a visual examination conducted by one of our dermatologists. Our dermatologist will assess the type and severity of the acne on your face.
Treatments vary, depending on the severity of your symptoms, and may include prescription treatments like topical medications, antibiotics to reduce bacteria in the skin, or blue light and Levulan. All treatments are specialized for each patient in Brentwood and their unique needs. These treatments may change and be adapted depending on the response to the treatment.
BOTOX Cosmetics
Look younger, fresher, and rejuvenated in Brentwood with BOTOX Cosmetic. Botox is a popular cosmetic treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Using Botox helps to paralyze specific muscles in the face and makes wrinkles and lines look smoother, especially around the eyes, between your eyebrows, and on your forehead. Many patients in Brentwood love Botox because it has minimal downtime and leaves them looking natural yet younger, refreshed, and more awake.
Chemical Peel
Get the glowing skin you want with a chemical peel with our team. Chemical peels are skin resurfacing treatments that help improve your skin’s texture, tone, and appearance. A chemical solution is applied to the skin, and it exfoliates and peels off, revealing smoother skin below it.
Our Brentwood dermatologists offer standard Glycolic Acid peels, mild TCA peels, and the Vitalize Peel. To achieve optimal results, you can incorporate chemical peels with other cosmetic treatments, like IPL or microdermabrasion.
Eczema Treatment
Do you have eczema? You’re not alone, as many suffer from this chronic inflammatory skin condition. Our team begins by diagnosing you to determine the type and severity of your eczema. Management is usually a combination of avoiding known triggers, moisturizing, and using topical steroids like corticosteroids to reduce symptoms. You may also need oral antihistamines to decrease any sensations of itching, along with a course of antibiotics if there is an infection.
Mole Removal
Our team can remove moles for cosmetic and medical reasons. The procedure begins with a thorough examination of the mole, including usually using dermoscopy to look at its characteristics. The mole removal will depend on its size, shape, and pathology.
Complete surgical excision is most commonly performed to ensure a scar that is barely noticeable after healing. The lesion is then completely excised, the wound closed, and the procedure takes 15 minutes to an hour.
Psoriasis Care
Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that affects many patients. Care for this condition usually involves tailored care with a combination of treatments. Psoriasis shows itself as red, scaly patches on the skin.
Treatment may include topical tar, topical steroids, and topical Vitamin D ointments and creams. Some Brentwood patients may benefit from laser or ultraviolet light therapy in addition to traditional topical and oral medications.
Rosacea
Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness of the face, visible blood vessels, frequent facial flushing, and red bumps or pimples. Triggers like spicy foods, alcohol, heat, and sun exposure often exacerbate facial redness.
Treating rosacea for Brentwood patients, our team of dermatologists can include topical medications, oral antibiotics, and other medications and laser treatments to decrease redness and flushing. Although topical medications can improve symptoms, rosacea is chronic.
Skin Cancer Care & Treatment
Those with skin cancer in Brentwood require care and treatment. Our team specializes in skin cancer treatment and reconstruction to ensure patients receive the highest quality care and support. Your dermatologist will examine your skin with a professional skin check, looking for any suspicious lesions. If any suspicious lesions are found, they may perform a biopsy to determine if the lesion is cancerous.
Treatments for skin cancer include Mohs surgery, which allows your surgeon to remove cancerous tissue layer by layer. Each layer is then examined under a microscope to ensure any cancerous cells have been found and removed. After Mohs surgery, you may need reconstructive surgery to restore your appearance and the function of the area that was treated. Skin cancer reconstruction depends on the type and stage of your skin cancer and your specific, individual needs.
