Renee Lucero, DO
Dr. Renee Lucero is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, originally from the Central Coast of California. Dr. Renee Lucero was a first generation college student when she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity.
Following her medical education, Dr. Renee Lucero completed a surgical internship at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ and then completed her dermatology residency at Prime West Consortium in Newport Beach, CA, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Renee Lucero further honed her expertise through a one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Island Dermatology in southern California, under the mentorship of Stephanie Martin, MD, and Andrew Breithaupt, MD. Her fellowship training encompassed over 1,700 Mohs surgical cases and more than 500 excisions, providing her with extensive experience in dermatologic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Renee Lucero is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Renee Lucero is committed to providing exceptional and comprehensive dermatologic care to her patients including general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She values collaborative relationships with her patients, striving to improve outcomes and developing lasting connections with them and their families. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Renee Lucero cherishes moments spent with loved ones including her dog. Her hobbies include baking and learning about the art of bonsai, and finds joy in exploring new cultures and cuisines through travel.
