Appointment Information
What to Expect
Welcome! You have come to the right place. We are honored you have entrusted us to care for your skin health. Our promise is to provide patient-centered care so that you can achieve a lifetime of confidence in your skin.
Below is a brief overview of what to expect with the appointment process to help you prepare for your visit.
Step 1
When calling to make an appointment or schedule online, be sure to have the following readily available.
- Insurance Card – needed to schedule your appointment.
- Primary Physician – the name of your primary physician.
To make an appointment for either medical, cosmetic, or aesthetic, you can schedule online by clicking here! Or call to make an appointment by finding your nearest location here.
Please note, Managed Care Insurance Plans require an insurance referral for medical dermatology appointments. Please contact your primary care physician for the insurance referral before your visit. Cosmetic and aesthetic appointments are not billable to insurance.
Step 2
If you’re a new patient, after making your appointment, we ask that you visit our patient portal to complete the required paperwork prior to your appointment. To do this, please follow the following step by step instructions:
- Go to https://www.goldenstatedermatology.com/patientportal/
- Click “Account Management Portal”
- Click “New to Practice” Follow the prompts and complete the required paperwork. This is the best way to verify your information before your appointment and streamline the check-in process.
This is a critical step, as we need this paperwork to provide you with care.
Step 3
To confirm your upcoming appointment, we will call, text, or email you depending on your preference. We kindly ask that you please let us know 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment so that we can provide care to another patient. A cancellation fee may be applied.
Step 4
As you prepare to leave for your appointment, don’t forget to bring your insurance card for verification. GSD has many locations throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley. We recommend that you double-check the GSD office address and suite number for where you made the appointment.
Step 5
During your appointment, feel free to ask your provider any questions you have concerns with regarding your skin, hair, and nails.
Step 6
Get on the way to a better you! GSD wants to provide you with the confidence to be your best!
