Golden State Dermatology Announces New Berkeley Location
Growing Dermatology Group Partners with Local Practice
Berkeley, CA – Golden State Dermatology is pleased to announce the opening of their newest office in Berkeley, marking the 15th location for the growing network of providers.
Golden State Dermatology practices offer state-of-the-art medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology treatments, supplemented by unique specializations. The group has been rapidly growing over the last few years, opening eight new locations in 2019. The most recent acquisition in Berkeley will offer full service medical and surgical dermatology treatments along with an expanding list of cosmetic treatments.
The new office, located near Alta Bates Summit Medical Center at 2320 Woolsey Street, Suite 202, Berkeley, is overseen by Dr. Cornelia M. Pessoa. Dr. Pessoa has been practicing dermatology in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989 and is known for her expertise in surgical, medical and cosmetic dermatology. She received her Doctorate of Medicine degree in 1981 from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., completed an internship in internal medicine at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco, her residency in dermatology at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and received her board certification 1987. The Berkeley office also offers laser enhancement of the skin and sclerotherapy. Between Dr. Pessoa, Dr. Adrianna Browne and the rest of the office team, they speak Russian, Portuguese, Korean and English fluently.
Dr. Pessoa shared, “I am excited to join Golden State Dermatology, which will allow our team to focus even more on patient care and spend less time on administration. I look forward to being part of a group of patient-focused, accomplished dermatologists across a range of subspecialties to further add to our patients’ experience.”
The new Berkeley location, as well as all Golden State Dermatology locations, is accepting new patients. In addition to their various convenient locations throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley, they also accept many forms of insurance. “We have grown tremendously over the last several years, and we are actively seeking to continue adding the most talented providers in California and beyond to our team,” says Dr. Ed Becker, founder of Golden State Dermatology.
