Elaine Lim, PA-C
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Elaine Lim completed her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in Integrative Biology. After graduation, she worked at Golden State Dermatology (formerly East Bay Skin Cancer Center) with Dr. Jeffrey Bortz and Patricia Loo PA-C. Elaine’s experience as a medical and surgical assistant inspired her to become a dermatology physician assistant. She earned her dual Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Master in Public Health from Touro University, California. During her clinical rotations, Elaine received specialized training in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology as well as in general surgery and plastic/reconstructive surgery. Now, as a physician assistant, Elaine returned to Golden State Dermatology with special interests in skin cancer screenings and assisting in Mohs micrographic surgery.
Elaine Lim is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), licensed by the State of California’s Physician Assistant Board, and is a fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). She also holds memberships in the California Dermatology Physician Assistant Society (CDPAS), California of Physician Assistants (CAPA), and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
